RSR backdate update and help on backdate of pop outs

Hi

Wanted to share my current status of my 2.8 RSR body backdate
on a 1979 non sunroof SC ..

Have body stripped , and test mounted set of nice early 911 doors
with early chrome trim on body.

I need a pic or the pillar where the quarter windows mount , as im installing a set of early pop out quarter windows in place of fixed quarters.

Any hints on installing early pop outs on a sc body ?
It looks like there is a small vertical panel spot welded over the original slots where the pop outs would insert , as there is bolt holes and threads already there .. If you have experience installing pop-outs please post ..

Thanks in advance - Joe -

I put pop-outs on my 78. I found a black set at a local dismantler. The captive nuts were present in my b-pillars and there were holes for the latches in my c-pillars. I had to put "nut certs" into the holes in the c-pillars. This is easiest to do with the rear glass out. I had to remove some sheet metal "trim" from the outside of the b-pillars. This will be obvious to you when you get things apart. I pieced together how to do it from several searches done here. Each gave a detail of two. The windows bolted right in and fit nice and snug. I am very pleased with this upgrade.
