Doubtful.

But at that track, it can depend a lot on environmental stuff (fog/wind/etc.).

I've got a similar situation. The next time I go to Laguna, I'll be bringing a cap for one side, and a 90-degree stovepipe exit add-on for the driver's side outlet.

Good idea.
I might be trailering ol' White Lightning down there in the spring with a bunch of hard core track junkies -

From the Fabspeed site:

"Muffler allows engine to make as much power (torque & HP) as with open headers proven on the chassis dyno. Also passes Lime Rock Parks 85DB stringent noise limits. Passes easliy with no loss of power and will pass Laguna Seca and any other racetrack too!"

Yeah, the Flowmasters are really quiet

Bill Verburg 01-10-2005 06:33 PM

Quiet? Not Hardly. Thats the system I have. It is LRP legal. There are a # of us that have demonstarted that fact.

You can't really compare the noise restrictions at different tracks, though. It's all apples and oranges, no matter what the decibel number, since distance to the sound booth, topography, etc., all make a difference.

Maybe a Flowmaster would pass 92 db at Laguna. My tapered-down B&B would pass there on 92 days, but fail on 90 days. It seemed much quieter than my Flowmaster -- at least in the high revs.

But I'd come prepared.

Bill -

Is this kit supposed to have *3* U-bends in it?
Mine had 2.....

TIA,

just an FYI, at Laguna last year, a lot of cars were failing the noise because of the intake. Some of them had to have cardboard taped on the inside of their tails to cover the vents and they still failed. So take that into consideration as you pack for a trip up here. Exhaust and intake noise will kill you. Toyo Cup cars were passing GT cars because of the restrictive efforts being made to eliminate noise.

You guys need an electronic frequency cancellation muffler. Dial it in for any track you wish.

Only 2 are needed, unless you make a mistake.

Craig 930 RS 01-12-2005 12:36 PM

Good to hear. Bill, did your kit have 3?

Bill Verburg 01-12-2005 12:53 PM

I needed 3, but they didn't come that way,

Must say a 100xs
"measure 5xs cut once"
