Steve,

Generally, you don't want to open CMA until after you have downloaded it to your hard drive. The download could take anywhere from a couple of minutes ... to several minutes, depending on your connection speed! Opening would take essentially the same time as downloading.

You do have Adobe Acrobat or Reader installed on your computer, right?

Steve,

There must have been a transmission error ... happens every once in a while with PDF downloads!

You could try Derek Murray's site ...

Steve,

Yes, it could take 6 - 10 minutes to load at 40 - 56K speeds ... normal white screen with no progress indication!

Downloading by right-clicking, then 'Save link as ...' won't save any time, but at least you get a progress dialog box to check on periodically ...

Steve,

CMA is what I call the 'Blue Book' of MFI ... official factory bulletin, published with blue covers, as were some other bulletins back in the '70s. It is a bit out of date, having never been updated with regards to USA operating conditions, poor gasoline, spark plugs, etc.

Be sure to download the rest of the documents on the Pelican MFI Tips page, and get a medium-sized binder to put everything in after you print everything ... it could take a couple of days to download and print!!!

There have been quite a few good discussions of MFI here on Pelican, both tuning and troubleshooting ... in the past 3 - 4 years, so you may want to do a search and print a few of the significant threads. The recent contributions of Grady Clay have raised the quality of MFI information here significantly!

Good luck!
