megasquirt boxster parts

Hey guys, got a new toy this weekend (pictures to follow tonight). Friend of mine gave me a 2.5l boxster motor that had been flooded, mainly for my son to take apart for fun. Got to looking at the injection system and got my calipers out, looks like the injectors are within .5mm of where the cis injectors are on my 3.0. The wheel are turning, might not be too hard to make a set of adaptors to bolt to the 3.0 and then match up the boxster runners and throttle body, could use the boxster fuel rails then also. What do you guys think?

you're a lucky b@$tard john....

The boxster injection should run the 3.0 no problem...do you have the ECU and everything too?

I've got my megasquirt ecu built already. Looks like the boxster fuel rails have a regulator built onto one end. Don't know how many of the sensors are ruined from being soggy, but I can test them I guess. The injectors were pretty wet too, but I have my Ford racing/bosch injectors to use, they should snap right in. Gonna look cool with the PORSCHE composite intakes in there.

Rest of the motor will make a nice coffee table.

Can't believe I can't find a pic of a 2.5 boxster intake on the web, I'll shoot some when I get home and post them. It looks like a 996 intake minus the second cross over tube.

Interesting idea anyone know what the going price is for this setup? Is it cheaper than the 3.2 setup? If the throttle body stays in that position it is pointing towards the rear in a 911,will there be interference issues?Keep us up to date if you go forward with the project.
