Gratuitous Sunday Photo Shoot

I can't help myself. I spent the day Sunday washing and polishing the C3 (wash, pre-cleaner, polish, etc) and it looked so good I just had to get some more photos and share them.

Plus it was an nice day here too!

looks nice

have you ever thought about swapping the rubber tail part for a '74/75 2.7 Carrera tail - same shape but much, imo, prettier

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.

Adam, yeah the clear lenses make a big improvement (IMO) to the front of the car and were really cheap ($AUD25).

Ryan, I agree that the '74/75 2.7 Carrera tail is much nicer (and a hell of a lot lighter) than the rubber tail. This will probably make you cringe (being a mid year car), but I'm currently preparing a ducktail to take its place. I just love the simplicity of the duck!

Sweet..I like the lights in the rear reflector. Can I do that with my 78SC? I'm voting for the ducktail too!
Peace, Ron

Nice Car. Mind if I crash your party? I took this pic of my car the other day as I am selling it - and promptly got evicted from the site by two smallish Anzac lookin blokes with feathers in thier hats.

Hey Victor, thats an fantastic photo and I love the colour. Why are you selling?

By the way, the may be small, but they carry a veeery biiiiig stick!

Ron, the lights in the reflector are actually just a reflection (i.e. no bulbs there). Also, do you have a silver '78 SC, with the rocker covers removed a "Porsche" script along the side?

Sorry Aussie, the Fuchs sticker is from the Fuchs oil company. Although they are a German company too, they are not related to the producer of our iconic wheels. Their products are supposed to be some of the best available and they were the first to produce a 0w20 motor oil, based on canola oil! Apparently due to its low viscosity, it can add a 6kw at the rear wheels.

I'm not using this in the 911, its only for new, high-tech performance motors and costs $85 for 4ltrs!

Hi Sheldon,

I'm selling as I am buying a 964. I have had this car for almost 6 years and she's a ripper but it's time to move on to something more modern.

Here's an underside shot. Has not been steam cleaned so potential buyers won't accuse me of trying to hide anything.

No - it's a great car too - shame mostly idiots seem to be in the market for 3.2 nowdays.

Nope. They looked like someone had just shot thier donkey or parked a stuka out front.
