Good News: The 911 is Still Winning More Races in the U.S.

From www.theracesite.com

1/11/2005 - With the compilation of all the stats from the 2004 season, who came out on top as the most successful sportscar manufacturer in North America? TheRaceSite.com has compiled an exclusive report detailing out what drivers, teams, and manufacturers are the most successful across all forms of professional sportscar racing in North America.

For this report we have included ALMS, Grand Am, World Challenge, Trans Am, and the Grand Am Cup.

The goal of this exercise is to determine who, statistically speaking, was the best Manufacturer in sportscar racing in North America? In the end the stats show a resounding dominance by one marque in the sport. This marque has been a dominant part of the landscape for decades and will likely continue with that strength. With a championship in the Grand Am Rolex SGS class, Grand Am Cup GS class, and the American Le Mans Series GT class, Porsche was the most dominant car in the sport.

Jack I assume that is 31 wins in class?

So the 911 won 31 times in a class that is almost 100% Porsche.... Sorry not impressed. Would much rather see that Porsche won against other makes like the good old days.

Guess making trucks is more important.

Curt just noticed you dumped your for a BMW. Why?

Jack...In your opinion will a Porsche powered Daytona prototype be competitive for 05?
