Which Brake Ducting Kit

I want to install ducting to my front brakes - I've seen the kit here on Pelican and I see that there is an AJ Racing kit as well as an OG Racing kit - I'm not sure if any of these are actually the same, but I'm looking for advice on which is the 'best' to get - pros and cons of each - or are they all the same?

Thanks.

Memory only speaking here....others, kindly check....

I think the OG kit is 3" hose ( better) but routing becomes a problem and the f'glass scoops are reportedly very grody looking....

The AJ Racing kit is 2.5" hose, but is easier to route, and the kit has high quality looking aluminum scoops.

Both pick-up air underneath the car...not ideal ( better I guess would be front valence mount...like through fog light openings....higher pressure cleaner air entry).

Look at archives for this. There are linked tech articles to some West coast PCA clubs, too ( Steve Groeskemper ?....Orange county region ??) EDIT...see April and May 2002 articles, here...

IOPort racing sells a nice plastic duct that will fit almost perfectly into the fog light opening ($20):

Then you can modify your dust shields as such:

MichiganMat:
I see we meet again in cross-posts !

your set-up is fine but presents problems for guys like me who have a huge washer bottle in the same place on the drivers side.

I know, I know...we can fix that....but I'm trying to avoid fixing unrelated things that are working well as it is.....

Are any of these kits designed for the early (- 73) cars?

I did the following...

993 deflector plate
Remove splash guards
Install smart racing block off plates
Super blue fluid

Have not experienced fade in 100 miles of track driving running metal master pads.

Edit: Link to thread on this mod Brake Cooling Diverters Modified

I have the AJ duct kit on my '69. The previous owner installed it so I cannot comment on ease of installation, but it is clean and professional looking.

Anything under the A arm is gonna get ripped off, use 3" min ducts from the front valance, make a plenum around the A arm.
