Jeremy...

I think the gold center wheels on your clean blue cab will look awesome! I'd leave them alone.

Hey Jeremy, nice looking re-finish! Can't wait to see them on the car! How did Al do the lips? They look polished. Did he separate the centers from the rims? Otherwise, it looks like alot of work to get around all those rivets. The reason I ask is that my BMW has the same rims (8x17) and have been wondering what I'm gonna do when they need re-finishing someday. I like the way yours look. Again, lets see some pics when you get them on the car!

Polished and clearcoated rims - satin powdercoated centers - as always Al does an excellent job. He complainedd about em = took em all apart. put the powdercoat on too think and had to redo the centers = put em back together.

I am very happy with them - especially for track wheels. Not quite Fiskes - but less than 1/4 the price...

Good to know Al can do these rims, although from the sounds of it, he may think twice about it next time! Again, can't wait to see them on the car.

I'm thinking of going to Al Reed to refinish the Fuchs 16's I acquired, could you repost his contact information, Jeremy?

I really like the 100% anodized look, with maybe a polished & clear coated lip. I have some A. C. Schnitzer wheels finished like that, look pretty nice if I do say so myself.

Darn those look nice Jeremy. I need to get serious about procuring some track wheels...BBS would prolly be my first choice. The thing that puts me off is doing searches for wheels on Ebay nowadays, there are 250 sets of new 18" import crap wheels when I search for "Porsche 911 wheels".

You can screen those out with a key word restrictor. You type porsche 911 wheels -(crap) replacing crap with a term unique to the wheels you don't want to look at.

I had gold centres on a black car for track - looked really good. For any other body colour I'd go for silver or black. I ran them without the screw in centre-cap, looked kinda purposeful with the exposed wheel bolts - saves a tiny bit of unsprung weight too !

Those black centres look sweet !

Jeremy, you score some rims on the cheap and then you prissy them up and dump more money to Al Reed.....for track wheels? When I said paint them black, I pictured you outside in your driveway with a can of spray paint. Now your going to by worried after they start getting gunked up with brakes dust. I got to think of something to sell you
