So what wires should I use when I do a tune up heard the original wires aren't that good any more?

What year is your car? I've used factory sets and Magnecores and had excellent results out of both.

I used early style '73 and earlier factory wires on my old 2.7 CIS engine and they worked great (and were alot cheaper than the braided ones at around $75 a set)

I remeber some one else talking about the newer wires being a upgrade on the old steel braided wires just wanted to know why they were better and what if any difference would be felt

I bought the Jacobs wire from Pelican and they are holding up well. Great price too.

Sorry to jump in but I am going to replace wires as well and wonder about changing the plug caps as well. Is it necessary/better to do both at the same time?
Thanks

Jacobs from PP have held up for two years now. They have a nice "click" when they snap over the end of the plug so you know they aren't loose.
