Torque Spec for Intermediate Shaft Cover nuts?
I'm replacing this gasket. Does anyone know the torque spec for these nuts?
Thanks. |

Snug.
Just kidding. I'll look it up if no one else chimes before I can get at the manual or spec. book. I can guarantee you it will be quite low. If the valve covers are 6 ft-lb (M8 nylock nuts), the M6 nuts on the int. shaft cover will be even less. Hope you got an inch-pound torque wrench! I believe the Bentley says 8 Nm = 6 ft-lbs for the chain covers which should be about the same for the int. shaft.

Something about seeing the words torque and nuts in the same line that makes me twinge.
