Doug, your car looks absolutely stunning!! I really like all the choices you have made along the way. Sorry I havn't spoken to you in awhile, been pretty busy putting some new items together. I got the fuchs machined and two of them are ready to go with race rubber. I will email you some pics here soon. Good luck on the rest of the project and keep me informed on your great progress.

Looks awesome. IROC doesn't hold a candle to the early car (RSR) look.

probably did not catch that the 71 was updated to a 80's style only to be returned to the 70's style.
The pictures show a different story than reality.

Here are the wheels 17x 9.5 x 11 Lindseys - RSR beaded finish. BRW - I've seen some posts about reproducing the RSR finish. I took the wheels to Al Reed Polishing after they were finished by Lindsey, because I was concerned that the beaded finish would be ruined by brake dust, etc. Al and Diane suggested that I just run them, because their opinion was the powder coat clear coat would darken the very light surface finish. Time will tell. That was their advice to me. Just keep them clean and see what happens. That finish will obviously be cheap. Maintainable, we'll see!

Dave B had started the RS Cup here in CA. Thus his moniker TRE Cup. There was not a lot of cars running a few years back, but a new spec series could be a possibility with all these clones popping up. Waddaya think DB??

bigrubberjeep 02-09-2005 02:34 PM

I would jump in to that spec in the blink of an eye.
