Rookie question...
How do you tell the difference between a cast Fuchs wheel and a forged wheel? Are the forged wheels multipart?
Thanks in advance, Paul

Look for the Porsche part number. Cast wheels will not have them. The ones forged by Fuchs will.

Fuchs wheels are a single piece forging.
The real Fuchs will have a Porsche part number somewhere on the back and a triangle shaped trade mark. The fake Fuchs are cast instead of forged and are consequently much weaker. -Chris

I'd also heard that you can feel the back of a Fuchs wheel to find out if it is forged or cast. Smooth = forged, rough = cast.
