Cool Dallas PCA dyno day-my results...

One of the guys set up a day on a local Dynojet. I don't have a scanner at home, so I'll have to wait the post the graphs, but here are my runs:
194HP 178.6ft-lbs, 201.4HP 180.4ft-lbs, 202.3HP 182.2ft-lbs

The first (lowest) run was made with my RH tailpipe capped, as I normally do for street driving. Taking it off gave me the extra 8HP. I hope my wife appreciates this sacrifice.

Stock (120K miles) 3.2, B&B headers, Fabspeed muffler, Steve W chip. The chip isn't optimized as it was purchased setup for a Euro pre-muff and sport muffler like I used to have. I'm going to send it back for reprogramming for the headers and 93 octane, so that should help a bit. All in all, I'm pretty pleased...

Way to go Ed!

Good solid numbers. For comparison, my 3.2L was 199 whp and 182 torque with Dansk pre-muffler, Dansk single in/dual out muffler and Steve Wong chip programmed for the above.

Ralph

P.S. - I guess the 3.4L is now officially "on hold"?

Hey Ralph: Wisdom is most likely going to prevail here, unless I find something bad when I drop it for the clutch, I'm going to do all the "while you're in there" stuff. Now I'll have all that money to spend on suspension of something...

Considering stock should be 207 at the crank, I'm pretty happy with the results here. Easily should be 230 at the crank. If you do the 15% math, it works to 240.

I was holding up on sending my chip to Steve to redo, now I wish I'd done it prior to today.

LOL!

You can't really compare dyno numbers to factory numbers. The factory numbers were the minimum horsepower.
