tranny removal

My tranny needs to be rebuild. So the shop needs the gearbox but not the engine ! I would like if it is easy to remove the trans without the engine.

It is easy to remove them together and on some (you didn't mention what year your car is) you can remove just the engine. You can't just remove the transmission on pre-'90's 911's as far as I know.

No, you're just fighting the way it was designed to be serviced.

Ouppssss ... sorry.

It is for a 2.2 T from 1970 . So you mean it is not easy to remove the trans only ?

Nopers, pull the engine and tranny as one piece.

Not only is it not easy to pull the tranny by itself, it is darn near impossible.
I guess if someone was stubborn enough they might be able do it but it would be waaay more work. I would never even contemplate trying it.
