Colorado people - Good PPI place for Audi and/or Porsche

Looking at buying an S4 in Denver, and need a good place for a PPI. Also, will probably be bringing the targa out soon and need a good shop to wrench on it.

Looked at this thread (Looking for a good independent in Denver) but alot of those shops are up North. Is there anything south of denver, closer to the Springs (where i go to school)?

So what's good for an Audi PPI and porsche work? Thanks!

-Ian

Ian,

This same thread:
here I could only find one in Colorado Springs. For a city that used to have a good Factory dealer, there should be some good independents. Try Alpine Mountain Region PCA link on our RMR PCA site. AMR is a very active region and I’m sure everyone doesn’t drive to Denver.

Where is the C4?
Where are you in school?

If the car is close, I’ll go look at it for you and e-mail images.

Best,
Grady

EDIT to get the url to work.

I just got out of Stuttgart West a Porsche Audi garage at 2100
West Dartmouth. My 81 911 Had a clutch, Airbox, Oil lines replaced. Less than $3,000. Not bad for 16 hours of work. Seem like good people. Dont know any others that I could recommend.

There are a couple Audi wrenches on the south side of town. I have had a mixed results with all of them. Audi guys are not as tight on the south side of town as P pilots. I have spent several kilobucks with these two guys over the last eight years.

Parker Audiworks. Mike Hinote the wrench is very competent. He knows Audis very well. Prefers cash customers. Lincoln and Parker Road.

Autowerks Colorado Mark Z. a likeable guy but left me hanging on rear wheel bearing RR job on my 200TQ, his "staff" did the wrong side! Mark is very competent as well. Kipling/SanteFe

With regard to Stuttgart West, they were a mix bag for me. Reasonable price on a clutch R&R but mistuned the FI on same car to compensate for blown hose.

Champange Motors, wide berth unless you have completely desperate.

My urS6 Avant now only goes to either a wonderful retired, german Audi Service manager in Lakewood or Eurosport Automotive in Arvada. A 50 mile round trip for me as I live on the south side of town but worth it in my mind. Eurosport did the PPI on my S6.

Recommendation, use Mike at Parker Audiworks

You're talking about a 928, right? That's the only Porsche I know of with an "S4" designation. If so, the advice I got on the rennlist board is that Eisenbud is the best place to take a 928 in Colorado.

Sorry, i should have clarified. I'm looking at buying an Audi S4, and was looking for some good Audi shops in the area. Thanks Bill, i think you mentioned some good ones, i'll look into that.

However, i am also probably going to be bringing my '84 911 out here soon, and also need a place to wrench on that. It seems like the majority of shops are in the north part of the state. But if that's what it takes, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Bagpiper, i'm having trouble finding the shop you listed. Can you give a complete address or a website? How far from the Springs?

Grady, i'm a cadet at the Air Force Academy.

Sorry if that was confusing!

Ian, Stuttgart is at 2100 W. Dartmouth 303-781-1500.
They even called today to ask how everything works!
Clutch is great! Airbox seemed to have helped with my
start problem after it is left for a few hours. Still has an issue I will try and resolve myself. Maybe the fuel pump check valve?
or accumulator. Either way I am pleased with the work.
