Mirrors on the 3.0 RSR in the April '05 Excellence

There is a silver 3.0 RSR/turbo concept car in the April '05 Excellence. Can someone who has the magazine handy tell me more about the mirrors on the car?

I would dig up a pic, but I can't think of where I’ve ever seen these before. The almost look like 935/yellowbird mirrors except they are smaller and they look like they mount on the stock holes that are drilled in the door instead of to the window frames.

Any idea where I can get a set of these?

TIA

Don't have info on these....but I find it interesting that those ( on that car) are mounted in the same location on both sides. Stock....the passenger mirror is mounted a few more inches forward....

I think those are Engelman mirrors they were popular on Opels in the 80,s. I have a pair but haven,t installed them yet.

The car was converted to right hand drive. I guess they didnt move the old driverside mirror when they drilled the new right hand driverside door?

anybody else have any info on these mirrors?

Correction...I think my original post should have said "rearward" ...not "forward". In any case...they should not be the same.

The car in question was the prototype "turbo" show car in Frankfurt, 1973. It was displayed as a left hand drive car ( since converted) and it didn't have a "passenger" mirror as originally shown.
