intake system swap

I just started putting an 84 intake on my 82 911SC. I've run into a problem matching up the gaskets. The intake-to-head gasket for the 84 is too big for the old heads (see photo). I've always heard that this is a bolt on swap but it looks like I'll have to mix and match old gaskets with the new spacers. Some day when I get around to tearing down the whole engine, I'll port match to the new intake but with the limited mating surface area it will be a challenge. Any ideas or experience with this swap?

Thanks

I would just take some phenolic stock and rough saw it out. Then using gaskets from each side make a tapered adaptor.

Best,
Grady

I used SC gaskets next to the heads. I trimmed them for the injector
