Good deal on one owner 1970 911 T ?
Thought this may interest some here:
http://cannillomotorsports.com/inventory/1970_porsche_911T/1970_porsche_911t.html "1970 Porsche 911T VIN# 9110123079 Dark red exterior/Tan interior. Again, this is a one owner Porsche with 88k miles. The car runs great and looks good. It has the Porsche 4 speed Sport-O-Matic transmission and comes complete with service records and a full set of the original books(incl., owners manuals, supplements etc...) It's almost unbeliveable! But I had a renowned Porsche expert go over the car for me before I bought it. Here confirmed it's condition, completeness and originality. The car is virtually rust free and has had one older respray(maybe 15 or 20 years ago), done in the car's original color. The paint is starting to show it's age. However, the car is totally straight. It's a great car, original car, that's surely a collectors item We're asking $13.950" The "virtually Rust free" comment does raise a red flag though.

IMO one of the most adorable and classic looking car modells of all time.
I could even be persuaded to use the dreaded term "cute" to describe this car... Markus Carrera 85

Rick,
Well, the first thing I notice is it has a ’72-3 “S” front bumper but not “S” trim. Next is the rear view mirror. The wipers are mis-positioned. Those are not USA turn signal assemblies. The painted 5½x15 wheels are just fine but I would expect a 911 with the relatively expensive Sportomatic to have at least Fuchs 5½x14 or 10-spoke. What instruments? What interior? Rust and prior damage are the biggest issues. I would inspect a 911 like this VERY carefully and verify the documentation. If as represented, it probably is worth that price. Don’t be concerned about the Sportomatic. It is fun to drive and unique. It is easy to change to a 5-speed but you should keep all the Sporto stuff with the car. Best, Grady

On the engine cover, what is that below the 911 T badge? I have never seen any other badgeing under there before
