Heated air path
After the hot air goes thru flapper box what path does the heated air take? Does the heater ducts go in the shifter rod tunnel or does it take a path that goes near the rocker panel?
Heat Exchanger>Flapper Boxes>Heater Ducts(?where?)>Enter Behind Dash(?Where?)>Dash Vent ![]() Is there a body diagram showing me what i'm looking for somewhere?

They go thru the rockers...
...can't remember where, but one form of factory dwg shows this pathway... Try tech articles from Panorama...maybe by Allen Caldwell..... Wil

They go through the tubes built into the rockers and then join flexible hoses behind the kick panels to the side of drivers left foot and to the side of the passengers right foot.

Jesse, you already knew the answer to your question. Now admit it, you wanted to show off your new heater box, didnt you? My heater boxes are the ugliest part of my car. I am scared to pull the lever up because they will probably fall apart from the rust.

Jerome Ryals> Big help Thanks!
DrewT> The truth be told. The picture is from a Pelican tech article. This is my situation. My heat exchangers were rusted thru so I broke out the dremel and cut the "outer shell" off. That stuff is tuff! I think it's aluminum (sp) and stainless steel. Anyway, what I have left is what looks like headers. I'm trying to figure out how I can get heat in the cabin without buying SSI's, backdate, bla, bla, bla. I was thinking that if I knew where the path the air took I could maybe "tap" into it and pull heated air around the flapper boxes. Or use the fresh air blower to "draw" heated air in. I don't need alot of hot air just some ![]() Any suggestions?
