it does tend to hold onto the dust, not sure if it's a good thing or bad
looks worse in pics than before b/c I just had an excursion through grass/dirt this past weekend so some more crap flew in through the windows I think a blast of computer-cleaning air will clear it nicely ;) |
Dave,
No problems with the perforations or seams from the speaker grill showing up? I have been thinking about this ever since I rode in my buddies 996 with a similar/same material on the dash. Tinker |
Tinker,
My "real" dash was in such bad shape that the PO put a plastic dash-shaped cover over it. I recovered that cover. It didn't have the speaker grill nor seams. I am pretty sure they would show through if you did this. |
... so it's been about a year ... how are these awesome-lookin' dashes holding up? Any lessons learnt with time?
Gotta say, this thread makes me want to abandon my "get my brakes to work" project and focus on the interior. =) Babak |
Wow, cool stuff. Dave....I'd love to see it in person. How do the edges, where the cover and the original car look?
And Yellowbird, I am very impressed with the stithing. Did you do that yourself? Mahine stithed I assume. Was it stitched before the material was installed on the dash? Impressive that the stitching lines up so well. And was yours on the dash or on a cover? Thanks! |
