Small clip attaches clutch fork to ball pin, what direction should clip face? pics
Removing clutch fork, after taking out the allen screw, the clip fell, and I need to know the direction it should face on installation.
Does the "flat" side of the clip (pic #1), face/ rest against the fork? Or does the recessed indented side of the clip (pic #2), rest against the fork? Thanks ![]() ![]()

In the upper photo the fork would lay on top of the clip and the bolt (with loc-washer) go through the fork and into the clip as shown.
Best, Grady

One further question: On what part of the ball pin does the "jaw" of the clip ride? A. Does the "jaw" go between the fork and ball pin? B. Or does the jaw go between the pin nut (which attaches to the tranny), and the ball pin? Thanks

the lockwasher goes under the bolt head. the beveled side of the jaw opening goes under and faces the head of the ball and retains the ball in the fork bushing when the nut is tightened.

nice macro lens, BTW
above will make sense to you if you look at the curve part of the interior "trough" - it looks like it was made to hold a little ball, right?
