Idea for new/project car: 964 C2 backdate?
Well, passed on the whole Boxster S thing and now I am starting to think about some ideas for my next car. I am leaning towards a 964 C2 and put fiberglass bumbers and ducktail on it, as well as lighten it up and adding track goodies, 'carrera' logos, etc. Anyone else done this look with a 964? I am sure I have seen pics out there, but cannot find them.
I have been leaning towards a white with silver graphics look. Comments and pics/references appreciated!!! Thanks -B

I have thought about doing a 964 DE/Street car and think it is a good idea. I'm assuming you woul want to track the car based on what you've done with your SC but I could be wrong.
The major drawback IMHO is the suspension parts are expensive, though very nice. I was thinking monoballs & motons, and some lightening.

well, yes and no. regular bilsteins are available for reasonable prices, which could be revalved. Moton Clubsports are awesome but not too cheap. PSS-9s are not available for 964s.

Sweet!!! I don't think I'd go to this extreme, but certainly validates the idea

Joe, what are you gonna be doing to the car? Sounds like a really neat project!

We gave our friend Sung pics of a 73 and 74 RSR and a 964 RSR. He chose the 964 RSR look. Body kit will come from TRE. RS 3.6 style wheels. Gut out everything that is not needed to save weight. As far as suspension and engine mods, I have to find out from Tyson Schmidt. He hasnt told me his evil little plan yet. Here is a pic of the car. 94 C2 with 51K on odometer. All service records and garage kept. Wheels, bumpers, interior, power sport seats, hood, retractable tail and fenders will be for sale later this month. No I dont have prices yet

Keep me in mind if you are ready to sell fog lights/lenses & retractable tail, I am updating my 84 to the c2 look...
Thanks Chris

This has been a long standing goal of mine. A 964 C4 would be an interesting car for me given the rain over here. It'd look like an early car (maybe an S) but with subtle differences like the rear flares, pop-up spoiler and 964 rockers. The minimum 250Hp would be cool too
