First you got to put pictures of your Targa. Here is my 84 Targa, still very much stock except short shift inside and stereo. I am having my Fuchs polished this week. Probably the first of many upgrades to come.

- Kiss your wallet goodbye
- Join GruppeB
- cut the narrow body flares off, rivet on some SC fiberglass flares
- sell your motor, drop in a 3.0 or larger
- lower it, upgrade the entire suspension to Carrera or later
- sell your stock wheels, stuff in the widest you can underneath it
- sell anything that adds weight and isn't absolutely necessary
- cut 4 inches off your gear shift
- reinforce the tub ala Widebody911's door bars
- put the pedal to the floor!

You got's ta get you them phone dial wheels, they are da bomb.

I've just read that it may be possible to get a carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber targa top and carbon fiber ducktail - you can be the first to do it. And I would envy you.

NOTE: I know where you can get a good deal on some phone dials - hey that's my car!

RSR/RS Clone: "Doug&Julie" posted a picture of a black targa with wide rear wheel flares - everyone who saw it said it looked great...................something to fantasize about.

Think big................how about a twin plug racing motor that someone is upgrading from? Just about any size would do. I think there was one for sale in the parts section for about $12,000. French Kiss your wallet goodbye.

I started out with an 80 SC Targa and wanted to make some mods. This is what it looked like before I started:

Then I went hog wild and upgraded it with all factory parts...this IS the same car:
