77 911 coupe 44,00 miles

I have no idea what this thing is worth but a friend wants me to sell it for him. He has gotten too big to even drive it. Newly rebuilt mtr, w/ new jugs and pistons, new clutch less than a 1000 miles
since work was done. three previous Dr. owners that had nicknamed the car the money pit and all of them spent way more than the car sold for new. The paint is original, kind of a rosey/tan with tan interior without flaw. Currently in h-bomb proof storage here in wichita. I drove it this morning and it
runs pretty good with minor smoke and very good shifting (and I'm used to a g-50). I will be changing the oil from mobil-1 back to dino oil ( kendal) and putting a few miles on it on saturday
to see if the smoke stops. I think I'll also run some technolon and fresh gas in just for grins. Anyway what would you guys hazard a guess of the worth of this car so I don't waste anyones time with ridiculous asking prices.

Pictures, please. And take some close-ups so we can see what condition the interior, the engine, and even the trunk are in.

Also, you might wish to check with Excellence articles (which appear periodically for the 77 model years) for "average" prices.

But, finally, the price its worth is the price someone is willing to pay. You could put it in the "Classified" serction of this BBS, or you can list it on e.Bay. The only way you can REALLY find out its worth is to place it for sale, and see what someone is willing to pay you.

But pictures would definitely help.

For a 77 I would say in mint condition, 12k, good-average 7-8k, and poor-average condition 5k.

Your friend gets an offer over $9K? He should take it and run. I can't see that particular color combo helping him either.

If the car is as nice as you make it sound , I think you'd find 9k would be chump change if you put it on ebay .

I saw and rode in this car today, all I can say is it's a time machine. All original, and very nice. Anyone looking for originality instead of a restoration should check it out. Seemed to run and drive well too, made me really miss having a 911.

This actually is a bump, but the car is very, very original with ton's of money thrown at it all its life. The current owner is well over 300 lb's and can't get in the car. He stands to loose between
$10k and $15k at the asking price of $16k. It is a verifiable 44,000 mile car without reactors and with a fresh rebuild and clutch. After the oil change today not even any smoke( it was over filled). Contact onewhippedpuppy for his thoughts if you are interested. I am the local membership chair of the Wichita PCA
and any of the the membership would be glad to look at the car for you enven though NONE have seen it yet. PPI at Your choice
local dealership or independent, simply look in the Wichita yellow pages.
