Baby's got new shoes! Anybody know about Roock wheels?

I stumbled upon these wheels recently while looking for a set of 9 & 11 x 17s to replace my aging 9 & 12 x 15 Fuchs. They are 8.5 & 10.5 x 18" Roocks made for a 993tt. I have never heard of this brand.
Anybody know what the scoop is? Are they any good?
Why do folks discourage using 18" wheels on an SC?

Seen them on a few 993s. They seem to be good wheels although they are a bit on the heavy side.

18's on 911/930/964s are supposed to do bad things to wheel bearings according to a Porsche service tech release. A search should find it.

The only pre-993 Porsche that had 18s from the factory was the 964 RS 3.8

Many people run them and haven't had issues.

Nice wheels by the way ... don't know anything about them, but I like them.

You are right sir ... I stand corrected!

RS 3.8 had 9x18 and 11x18
'94 Turbo had 8x18 and 10x18

Roock is a German tuner. I would bet the wheels are made by some other company and just branded with their name.

Thanks for the replies.
The word "Roock" is printed very large on the outter lip of each wheel. Could very well be that they are outsourced by the company.
The wheels are heavy. I was very dissapointed about that. I thought the 345s on my Fuchs were heavy, these actually weigh more with less rubber on them.

Is bearing wear the only issue with 18" fitment? As far as I am concerned bearings are a service item so that doesn't bother me in the least. How about 12" rims and turbo spacers? That's gotta play he!l on the bearings. Ha!

Thanks for the link. I had checked this website previously but saw no information on the wheels. I e-mailed the owner (Fabian) who quoted me prices (WOW!) What I was hoping was to find someone who has these wheels and would share their impressions of them.

I'm looking at spending a few $$ to make them fit my application. I'd just as soon sell them and save myself the aggravation if they are not going to work well with my car.
