Thanks. They only list places to buy them from.
I was hoping that one of my fellow Pelicanites could reccomend a place that they had a good transaction with. I couldn't find them on the Pelican site.

I've purchased from OG Racing. Only good experiences ...highly recommend them. ...no affiliation, yada yada.

If anyone needs one of these, I've got a never-installed B-K stainless extinguisher mount that I'll happily sell. (I put in a built-in system instead.)

Mine's for a 1969-73 911. Holes are 18-inches, center to center.

Hey Jack, can you post a pic of your setup? So I assume that the BK mount that you have will not fit a '77 911?
Thanks, Patrick

What do you want for it? If AZ911 passes let me know. Thanks.

It mounts to the front of the seat mounts, down under the passenger's feet. At least I think it does. Like I said, I bought it, and then went in a different direction and it's been gathering dust in the garage.

Apparently, it's for the 69-73 seats. So if anyone has an early car, and wants it, shoot me a private message. I'll sell it for 65% of the cost, new.

Have you tried Pelican?

EBS sells BK products too. www.ebsracing.com

Note that these mounts are only working with stock seats.

because of the seat interfering with the fire extinguisher itself? I would think it would bolt in with about any sliders (I have one like this, though I'm not using it anymore), maybe you are talking about side-mount brackets.

Andy:

Believe me, I tried. I have sparco torinos with sparco sliders and the BK mount would not fit. The main reason is that the BK extinguisher mount bolts to the front of the stock seat by being shimmed between the stock slider and the stock seat. The location of the mounting hardware that connects slider and seat is different between stock and aftermarket, at least in my application. If you read the BK webpage, it clearly states that this is for stock seats. The other reason why it would never fit my seats was the fact that the bracket would locate the extinguisher in an area where there is plenty of seat cushion in the way.

George
