Bought some Fuchs. Finishing opinions.

I picked these up. They are 7&8X16's. I am thinking going full rough anodize or paint the centers orange to match my side scripts and polish the lips. Any other opinions? Originality or correctness has no place here....

I'm going to hop on this tread if you don't mind because I have a finishing question too.

Why does it seem that very few people elect for the full polish, ie no black or any other color on the rim at all?

Is it to much bling?

As for the rims on the tread, I think Polished paddels and lips with orange (like your script) painted below the paddles. You could make the caps orange too.

Kev too much bling for me!

The RSR rough finish thats been going around lately would look neat on your car. I think Chucks (elephant racing) car has that. Awesome size wheels I want to step up from the 15x7,8s some day. There is an R Grupper with orange wheels....I thought about it along time did not like it as well as black.

Wheel Enhancement used to offer the rough anodize on the whole rim....lips and all. I like that look. Less work for me as well. Although I may go with rough anodized centers and polished lips.

I vote rough centers for sure. I'd like to see both polished or anodized or rough pics to decide on the rim are.

I could go crazy and do the rough paddles, gulf blue insets and polished lips! Nah....too much work.
Should I do the true RSR insets in black or just rough the entire center section?

I paid a little more than $500 for them. I got them under market value probably because the centers need refinished. I didn't even know they were on Ebay till after the deal. I have done alot of business with Jerry at Euro East and I bought them sight unseen.

So RSR is in the lead. I think I agree. Maybe when I pick them up at Euro East Saturday we can stuff 'em in the blasting cabinet?

Here's a jpg to give you an idea how good the RSR finish will look.

How long before everybody has RSR finish on their Fuchs, and it becomes ordinary?

Might be time to step off the bandwagon.

Tyson you may be right there. Maybe I'll go for 19" chrome and put spinners on them.

Well, I love the RSR finish. It's just that everyone is jumping on the bandwagon, and it should be a unique look.

I'm doing the factory anodizing in the early pattern on my street wheels, and RSR on my track wheels.
