Oil Return Tube Leak??

Are there any other places right around the cam tower that could be leaking oil?

I just had my valve covers ground perfectly flat and they are not leaking.

I do see oil coming leaking around where the cam tower connects to the cylinders. It looks like return tubes but as folks know it is always hard to tell.

If it is not the return tubes what else could it be? They are only leaking on the cam tower side, not the engine side.

Thanks.
ian

What year is your car?

Leaking from between the cam tower and cylinder?

Do you mean between the cam tower and heads, or between the heads and the cylinders? (significant difference)

A leak from an oil return tube will generally collect under the tube and then either drip straight down, or run along the bottom of the cam tower. There usually isn't too much oil above the oil return tube if that is what is leaking.

You will have to look under the car and before that clean the underside of the engine. But it is most likely to be return tubes. Change it anyway and do all 4. I thought i had only 1 leaking but with closer look i found out that only 1 was not leaking. Some more some less.
If a car is not moving much (garage queen) it is most likely that return tubes are leaking
