bilstein insert question
what's the difference in an insert for boge on a pre 85' strut and the later carrera ones? Another way, if I had one insert for a pre 85 and one for a later car, would they both fit in an 87' strut? I'm thinking the only difference was inside or outside threads on the retaining nut. Anybody know the facts?

That's how I understand it too. After '85, there are external threads. I don't think they are interchangeable since when I ordered mine for my '87, they were very specific for my external thread Boges.

so the inserts themselves are the same? I guess thats what I'm really asking. I was going to trade my sports with a HD's from an 84"
when I ordered my sports they came with both inside and outside nuts, that's what makes me think they are interchangable |
