New Seat Cover installation

After an exhaustive search to find correct seats for my 71 Targa, I have decided to try and install new covers on the originals. Having done some seats before (non Porsche), doing the hog rings etc. I am trying to gauge how difficult this might be, The seats themselves are in pretty decent shape, just that the covers (leatherette, standard, non sport Recaros) are shot. Couple of questions, if anybody can help;

1.Any special tools required.?
2.Any "tips" to help out.?
3.Best source to get the most correct covers (black basket weeve type) and an idea of quality, if anybody knows.?

Thx for the help!

1.Use pantyhose over the foam to help the new covers slide in place.
2.Search e-bay as there are some very nice kits

1. Hog Ring Plyers, Heavy Duty Wire Snippers to pry the old Hog Rings off, Rubber Tipped Kevlar Gloves.
2. Check out my post on my diy re-doing my sport seals, it will give you a guide on what to expect.

3. This is a tough one, not too many out there for non-leather.

Don't try to pull the covers over the seatbacks in the same manner you'd put on a pair of pants. Instead, roll them on, kinda like when you scrunch up a child's socks before pulling them over those little feet. Much easier.
