Sharing some photos of a CTR
Noah asked a question about the seats in a CTR and I found these photos from a long time ago.
These were taken at Roebling Road, Savannah, GA in 1991. I used to hang out down there quite often. These were taken at a historic racing/ open track day. It was kinda quiet until a tall, grey haired man with a thick german accent from Miami unload this gem. He talked about being a friend of Alois Ruf and the fact that he was opening a Ruf parts distributor in Miami soon. He also commented on Ruf legal problem and jail time. Anyway..... This supposedly is the fourth CTR built and the first in the States. I have no idea if its truthful or not, but he was a nice guy. And the car was stupid fast. Enjoy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

It certainly looks real enough. The rear NACA ducts above the rear fenders were only on the prototype, as Ruf found that they generated the wrong kind of air pressure inside the engine bay.
That is a stunning car. ![]()

It took me a while to notice, but the rear reflector doesn't say "PORSCHE". I wonder if Ruf had a batch of them made up and if you can still get them.

Adam- Actually the reflector does say Porsche, its just hard to see in these photos. Remember, these are not digital. These were shot with a Minolta 7000i with Kodak 200 speed film, printed on Koday paper and scaned with a HP psc 750 copier. They have also sat in a shoebox for about ten years! Here is another rear pic.
I'm just glad people enjoy them. ![]()

I'm sorry Noah, I really don't know. I didn't know enough about 911 back then to think to look. But if you think about it, could it possible be above the forward suspension point?
