H4 headlamp reflective paint?
Someone posted a thread (that I cannot find) about repainting the inside carrier piece of a Bosch H4. What kind of paint can you use, and where to buy it? Its the half round piece where the bulb clips into and has a shiny relfective coating on it. My PO had overspray all over them, and I tried to very lightly scuff it off, but its no use, the coating is gone and is now flat primer.
Anyone? |

The paint may or may not work well. You can send the reflectors out and have them re-chromed and you won't believe the difference. I sent mine to Ideal Plating in AZ. It took about 3 1/2 weeks over the holidays and cost $95 + shipping. I was amazed at the quality.

Did you send the "caps" over too? (the piece that the tip of the bulb butts up against? Kind of a circular cap thing with the two arms.)
and do you have a number for them?

Yes I did. They did the caps and reflectors. You'll need to keep the rubber spacers and adjustment screws so they don't get lost. I can't remember the older guys name but he's real nice and honest. I paid $95 + shipping. You may be able to find it cheaper near you but I doubt it. It seems as soon as they hear Porsche the price doubles.
