Old Girlfriends....pics !

Ok so that was a bit misleading. Still... I found these pics of my long ago previously owned 'can't believe I sold it' '65 356C Cab. Hurts for me to look but enjoy....

Damn, I miss that car....

Hunt it down and buy it back! If it's still alive, you can probably find it with some effort. Of course, you'll have to convince the owner to part with it.

And she had such nice 'headlights' too.

356 cabs are so cool. What a great cuzer. Take Dave's advice and go find it and you will be able to massage the headlights once again.

I had thought of hunting it down to buy it back. I'm wondering if the DMV will at least tell me if the plate is still active. Sad to say I sold it in 1976 for a measly (now anyway) six grand. I hate when that happens.

Any clues on how to find it would be MOST welcome.

1954 Right-hand-drive deluxe - one of less than a dozen in existence. I sold this bus to fund my 3.6L conversion; I'd sold my '72 911T targa to buy this...

Your old 356 Cab looks a lot like the one that Steve McQueen's chick drove in Bullit.

That is champagne yellow...mine was that color originally but in my youth I had no appreciation for keeping such things the same so changed color to a brighter yellow.

Hey is that off of 101 near SFO? I used to drive to work and there would be a quote up on the marquis once a day (or week can't remember) by some guy named -Alfred.

Hate to be OT but anyone remember that?

Mark, I would probably try here first, and see if there's any way to locate a car:

http://www.356registry.org/

I would think the first order of business would be to obtain the VIN number. Without that you probably don't have a prayer. Maybe one of your cop friends can find it for you.

So many former girlfriends... so few photos...
