High Torque Starter / Wevo mounts
Just installed a high torque starter (from PP) and the Wevo semi-solid mounts in my 3.2. Feedback - the starter has a different sound when I am cranking it. Sounds like a machine gun before the engine fires up. Also, I had expected it to start almost instantaneously which my previous stock starter was able to do sometimes. With the high torque starter, the engine fires up only after a couple of seconds...maybe 2 or 3 secs. Is this normal ? As for the engine mounts, they look fantastic. Can't really discern the difference (if any) but as they are not as compliant as the stock mounts, I think there is more engine noise in the cabin - not altogether unpleasant as I love to hear the engine anyway. Hope to hear from others who have installed the high torque starter and Wevo mounts.

my high torque started seems to turn slower than the stock one, , high torque not high speed I guess, so could take a little longer.
A 3.2's fuel pump does not start until the motor is turning, so that could factor in as well. Jim

That's not normal for the starter. Your starter might not be fully engaging.

The longer starting is normal with the gear reduction high-torque starters... Turn slower... Not so much with the standard ones.

Thanks for feedback. At least I know it's not just my imagination that the high torque starter turns slower than the stock one. Anyway, like i said, the difference is a matter of seconds...or even milliseconds. I quite like the sound it makes before the engine fires up - sort of a "boom-boom-boom" sound.
