Testing Cold Start Valve

Testing Cold Start Valve
I'm going through my whole CIS system checking all the remaining components. Last fall when working through some of this, the car was starting better when the CSV was disconnected. This may have been because my cold control pressure was too low and the car would flood at startup. The fuel pressure issue has now been resolved.

I've checked the thermotime switch, and that is working properly. Now I want to check the cold start valve. It looks nearly impossible to remove witout doing a partial engine drop, which I'd rather avoid. Here's what I was thinking instead just to see if it is spaying when it's supposed to:

1. Put a new electrical connector on it so I could jumper just the CSV
2. Jumper the fuel pump so it runs when the engine is off

3. Open the popoff valve, manually fire the injector and see if it's spraying.

Any other suggestions or ideas?

(accidentally posted to used parts yesterday-- oops)
