Fun day at Second Creek, Colorado

Fun day at Second Creek, Colorado

Well, we had a great day at the track. There was the usual
assortment of Ferrari, Corvette, a few ricers, Lotus (including
a BT-19), and wonderful Porsches (911 & 914-6). Bill took
possession of his third 911 last night, a ’74 911S PCA Club
Race car. 3R did its magic; it was one of the more tractable
cars I have been in. Of course Bill didn’t get the thrill of his
’72 2.4S MFI but it was a really well set up race car.

Gourmet lunch and we all had fun. I have more than a
little sunburn in spite of my precautions.
Tomorrow will bring more track time.

Best,
Grady

Dennis,

This is the beauty of Colorado. It was in the high ’60 today. Shorts and short sleeves all day, add a sweater in the late afternoon. After the sun goes down it gets cold – time to put on a parka. What makes it special is the thin air and very low humidity. I wear shorts all year long, much to the chagrin of my 3-piece friends.

You are more than welcome to visit, I’ll help. In winter there is the best skiing in the world. In the summer there are some of the best high-country experiences. No one should Californicate Colorado, no offense intended.

Best,
Grady

No offense taken. I've spent quality time in your beautiful state on many occasions going back 30+ years. I'd love to meet you next time I pass through.

Craig,

Yes, it is still a 2.7 and a remarkable one at that. You need to talk to him for details. It has the right balance for driving fast - 3R magic.

I promised Bill I wouldn’t critique his driving on line but he did a wonderful job, I was impressed.

It’s an open track day Saturday and Sunday. Do you know where you will be? Hehehe. The best $65 anyone ever spends. We are so blessed.

Best,
Grady
