Duel Master Cylinder Setup

I was wondering if there were other options then the Fabcar setup which cost $750. I am getting ready to install 993 brakes and wondering how much more then a 930 M/C in would cost.

Thanks for any help

Thom

you don't need the dual master setup, just get either the 23mm ATE for non boosted or late 930 for boosted brakes

There are several threads, try a search on "901shp"

newer m/c on 72

I'm in the process of building a 72 rs clone using the parts off of my 84 carrera. My m/c is the 23mm with booster. I am running boxster monoblocs up front and 944 T brakes in the rear. How can I fit my 84 m/c into the 72 car? Or how can I generate enough brake pressure using another setup? thanks!

I think the easiest thing for you to do eric is to install the 23mm ATE as bill mentioned, often referred to as the "Mercedes master cyliinder" because it comes from a mercedes truck. If you search for what I quoted you should find lots of information. The major thing is that the MC mounting for power brake cars is much different than non-power. conversion can be done, but it's easier not to.

unimog ... sweet.
