Cool Air Flow Meter Compatability

Can anyone verify this statement as true?
"The 964 and 911 3.2 used the same Air Flow Meter."
Thank you in advance,
Paul

False

The design is similar in that they both use a mechanical flap to measure air flow

They are in fact the same part. The Porsche part number for the carrera is 930 606 123 00 is superceded by the 964 part # 964 606 050 00, they all have the same 0 280 203 023 Bosch part number. I have 3 AFM in my basement, two from a 964 and one from a 3.2 they are identical and can be interchanged.

I don't know where you are getting your info but

964 606 050 00 is for 964 M64/01 - 03

930 606 123 00 is the 3.2Carrera part

the bosch catalog lists the same number for both. 0 986 280 026
the 930 number supercedes to the 964 number.

it's just upside down on the 3.6. the plug faces forward on the 3.6 and back on the 3.2.
