Mulholland Run -- March 6th
The subject says it all. On the morning of March 6th, we'll meet at the Gelsons in Calabasas and then power up into the hills, adding the sound of buzzing six-cylinder engines to the breakfasts of hundreds of unsuspecting canyon residents.
We'll stop for food afterward. Start time to be determined. Route to be determined as canyon roads are re-opened. Who's in?

I can do this! Well, depending on what Al Reed's turn around is next week. In by Monday and out by Friday, I'm good. The only other tires/wheels I have are my Khumo VR's. Given the potential for road debris, I don't think I should use those.
What else is happening on the 6th? I read something and I can't remember. the Austrailan Gran Prix is on late Sat nite here on the WC (replay on Sun for those that don't want to sit up the night watching racing). Is it a PCA breakfast? Autocross? This is bugging me. |

I'm not sure that "buzzing" is how I would describe the sound made by many of our cars
![]() Let's hope for clear skies and clean roads. It has been an effin' mess lately.

I was playing in those hills yesterday...logged over 50 of canyons. For the most part, the ones we usually hit are open. There is a spot on Piuma where it trickles down to one lane, but it's for no more than 100 feet.
Here are a few shots I took. See you guys Sunday morning if nothing comes up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Weather forecast: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 60s to lower 70s.
Be aware that Sunday is the Los Angeles Marathon. Marathon road closures will make getting off of my street difficult, but I'll plan in advance.

![]() EDIT: thanks for the tip, Jack. I would actually also like to point out that i have had major problems with the PCH getting to malibu for work and although it was ok yesterday, today it was so bad i couldn't even get there. they are still closing lanes and rerouting traffic through the canyons to fix debris and rocks and other damage from the rain. here is a website to check the road conditions for most all of the canyon roads and PCH near malibu just in case.... City of Malibu - road conditions...

Yikes -- tonite it took me a 1/2 hour to get from the SaMo Airport to Chautauqua -- which is 5 miles. Then it took another 45 minutes to get from there to PCH & Topanga, which is maybe another 5-7 miles.
Fortunately, on Sunday we won't have the traffic volume, but the roads will still be pretty messy. The road crews work by the hour and sure don't seem to be in any kind of hurry...
