Going tail-less - handling problems?

I have an '85 turbolook cab (w/ turbo tail) and was planning on having an extra decklid (no tail) painted to match for a more subtle speedster look.

I know that removing the rear tail and leaving the front spoiler in place will affect high speed handling, but is this an issue for regular day-to-day and highway driving (<85 mph)? Would it be unsafe?

no its not a problem at all. That is my current set up and I've done 140. I would probably not be able to take a turn going as fast as a fully tailed car, but for the street you won't notice.

BTW if you need a regular decklid, mine is coming off next week and I'm putting on a ducktail. You could have mine for cheap.

I think you’ll find it’s the rear that needs the front not the other way.
