Hi everyone. As many of you know, I've been complaining about how email keeps getting lost around here. Well, I've got the new CRM HelpDesk installed and almost completely integrated with our system here. I would like to ask you guys to help me test it.
Please send me some questions / tickets both by logging in and by not logging in. People who have ordered from us before can log in, people who have not, have to send us an "anonymous" ticket. Here's the link to the test page: http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/helpdesk_test.htm Please let me know what you think. I think that image uploads aren't working for some reason right now, I'm going to look at that right now... -Wayne

I just tried it using Firefox and a box opened up asking me what program to use to open pdesk.cgi. Works with IE, but can't upload a jpg. I get the following message:
Sorry, that file extension (JPG) is not accepted at present Update: Once I picked firefox to open the CGI, the trouble ticket form showed up.

Wayne,
My tests were with Safari on MacOSX. The display was fine and the image upload (.jpg) worked.

Anonymous worked for me - well, Santa Claus as you'll see. Accepted a picture - jpg.
The previous customer side keeps erroring - Software Error, but then I might have the wrong info because my wife ordered some stuff around Christmas & I might have to put in her info since she was the last to order??? Ian BTW using IE

Logged in fine using my wife's info which was the last order. I ordered in the fall several times & that data does not work.

Using Firefox 1.01 on a PC. "Never ordered before" option worked, including upload of jpeg image.
Login for user that has previously ordered failed due to invalid password. I used 10 digit phone# w/out dashes or spaces. I hit lost password button. I got an email with password set to non-numeric nonsense password. Login then worked. When I click on Log a ticket Firefox wants to know what to do with pdesk.cgi. If I say to use Firefox I see my profile and can write up a ticket but the submit button is inop. If I say to use IExplorer instead of Firefox the submit button works but I see a "cannot find server or dns error" page with this url: D:\cgi-bin\perldesk\pdesk.cgi. If I start from scratch with IExplorer the login and submission go off without a hitch.

I was unable to log in using any of my phone numbers. I would assume it's my home number that's needed, but it did not work no matter what I tried........it's Monday, it's probably me as is seems to work for the others.

Firefox still doesn't know what to do with the cgi. If I tell it to open it with firefox it essentially opens a local copy - not very useful. Netscape behaves the same way, IE works.
