CV or clutch?
I've been getting a kind of grinding noise from the back of the car if I turn to the left. This will happen even at low speeds, and with a minimal of weight being placed on the right back wheel.
Is it one or both of the CV's or anything else? I'm excluding the wheal bearing, as I dont think the sound is that of a warn bearing. So I jacked up the car, with the right rear wheel in the air. I started the car, with it in neutral I noticed the wheel slowly spinning. Is this normal? With the car in the air I could not hear the same noise again. Thanks for your assistance. Marius

Just a suggestion, but try turning left and pushing the clutch in during the turn and then see if the sound changes/goes away/stays the same. If it goes away, then I would suspect CV joints or something driveline related. If the sound doesn't change, then I would look at the rear wheel bearing, etc.
