Advice on Remote Oil Cooler for 69 911
I need first hand advice on installing a remote oil cooler on my 1969 911E that currently only has the engine mounted oil cooler.
It is a stock class 911 engine except for carbs, suspension mods, and safety equipment per PCA Club Racing rules. The car is tracked in DE and PCA Club racing and yes the temps have been too high. I wanted to know if the updated 74 and up stock system is the way to go or the Mocal type arrangement. AN fittings with braided lines or stock hard lines. You know my problem if you have any early 911. I am looking for reliablity and ease of installation too. You know I want everything... Thanks for any advice on this. John |

I would go w/ stock '74 up or Elephants hard line set up. A radiator in the nose is best, a radiator in the wheel well is next best as long as you get a clean copious air supply to it.
