Replacing oil pressure sender
I have the A/c bracket off. Any tricks (pitfalls) to getting the block out? Just disconnect the oil line and turn it?

I bought a "close enough" Craftsman 15/16 (#43588) Crows Foot for my *4 911 sender unit. Almaost an exact fit, waaaaay e
regards, easier to find vs an exact metric size and only a few USD$ at Sears. Steve

The use of a crows foot wrench to remove the sender in place instead of removing the mounting block to a vise risks ruining the engine case.

I can't see how you could possibly get enough torque on there with a crow's foot (I guess you can tho). I leaned on it pretty good once I had it in the vice and a 24mm wrench has a pretty good lever arm.
Anyway to answer my own question for posterity - take off the really thin oil line first (12mm), then take off the one connected to the block(14mm). Pull it away - it has a small rubber section so it's flexible, then undo the bolt holding the block (17mm). Stef |

From the above referenced thread complete with picture:
"In the attached image the block doesn't have the oil pressure sender screwed into it yet. To remove the block first loosen the nut on the oil line to the right (passenger side of the block) and disconnect the oil line. The block is secured to the engine case with a hollow bolt that goes all the way through the block. Use a wrench on the block to react the torque and apply a wrench to the hex on the hollow bolt fitting to loosen. Unscrew the hollow bolt and then it and the block will release from the case."
