I am getting ready to mount the front turn signal assemblies on my GT Racing fiberglass front fenders. The fenders are glassed over in the area where the turn signals mount as shown in the attached photo.
I am thinking about mounting the bucket from inside the fender and cutting holes with a hole saw in the blank-out area for the lighting. I would drill mounting holes in the fiberglass for the bucket and the lens and make use of the blankout area for stiffness to support the bucket.
Anyone ever do this? Is there a better alternative? Anyone have photos of their installation?
