Pics of my new 85 Euro

Finally got the new ride cleaned and detailed over the weekend and took a couple of pics. Seldom am I MORE excited after giving a car the first wash because of all the flaws you normally find but this time I was pleasantly surprised. Original paint all around except the front valance. Interior is near perfect even though that pic is fairly washed out. Still sorting the AFM issue but I am hoping to tackle that this week. Overall very pleased.

Looks like you might have a twisty road or two around. Enjoy it.

Bill,

I agree and was wondering why my car didn't have the normal black piece that I see on most of the carrera's. I guess it must have been an option.

Yes, spoilers f/r were options, you do have a nifty feature on the drivers side of the trans though.

Bill - Too new at this I guess but my curiosity is definitely peaked? Is it that black snake and if so, what in the world is it? Also, how did you know from my pictures or description?

Sarah - Thanks. We LOVE where we live. I have had two offers to move back to Los Angeles in the last 4 months and just can't bring myself to do it.

It's a transmission cooler, std issue on all ROW 915 eqipped Carreras '84-86.

I had to search high and low to find one over here.

Bill is refering to the trans cooler found only on ROW Carrera 915 transmissions, it was not available in the U.S. market cars for any price, not even our 930 turbos. If your trans happens to be a ltd. slip, the trans alone is worth more than some of the cars for sale on ebay. Enjoy!

EDIT: Typed too slow as usual.

Excellent. I love hidden benefits and thanks for pointing it out to me. I am going to track down the option code listing tonight and see what other goodies it might have. The list wasn't in my owner's manual because the manual is for a US model instead of the RoW, assuming there was a difference. I am hoping it is on the underside of the trunk lid.

Speeder - according to PO, the car does have the limited slip. I don't know how to verify though. Hopefully I can find the option codes tag tonight.
