4 year project video

Well I've just finished putting my 911E back together after its respray. I had a local porsche garage put in the window seals as it is a seriously tough job.

To celebrate the (almost) completion of its rejuvination I put together this movie in its honour (windows media). Its my first attempt with premiere so be gentle

Jobs done:

930 tie rods
Oil leaks gone (was return tubes)
Fixed heating (corroded flapper boxes)
Valve adjust
Hole in fender filled (cut for crazy alarm system)
Repaint original Aubergine
Rear calipers rebuilt (severe binding before
Got rid of that bus steering wheel - prototipo

Gratuitous pic from early morning run:

Cool! Man, that in-car from "the other side of the road" gets to me!

My only suggestion would be to get more video of the running car from the outside. There is so much in-car these days, I'd love to see that beautiful car of yours in motion! I realize that "drive-bys" are tedius to film...but would be cool.

NICE

Makes me want to restore something.

Very cool, like the music.

Got to love a guy who resotres a car and then takes it out the rain and parks it in a muddy driveway!

Great video, congrats.

Great job on the car. Thanks for the trip down damp English country lanes. And you even got a round-about in!

Nice work on the car and the video. Bringing an early car back from the edge is something to be proud of.

This video just plain makes me happy; the first time won't be the only time I watch it.

Congrats Phil. I commend you on your LHD on those narrow RHD roads! Brings back memories of tooling around Boston in my RHD Jag. I had a few close calls initially

Glad you guys like it.

It wasn't actually that damp, the camera just seems to make it darker that it was. It was 6am after all, only time you can get any clear roads around there (home counties).

mike - I've never found driving it hard despite the LHD. Only trouble I can see is if you enjoy the delights of McDonalds drive-thru...

I like it too, but the music doesn't relate much...I just keep thinking of JFK which gets me thinking of Jackie O. and....Nevermind.

Good job though and I love your car.

I went through a similar 3-year project. In watching that video, all of those wonderful feelings of taking the car out when it was completed and running so well flooded back over me. Great job, nice car.

I thought you were driving into on-coming traffic when the first few cars went by

Nice work! Congrats on a job well done! Great car!

Beautyful car but why the music? I would rather hear the motor. Must be the old fart in me.

Very cool video. Driving on the left side of the road made me feel very unnerved. What a trip! Good job, David

Congratulations. Now that my project is getting ready to tick into year 2 I am always happy to see that others have taken longer than I have.
