Mid America wheels

Does anyone know anything about Mid America's Fuchs replicas?
They are made in Italy, look nice, and are probably fine for street use. In their description of the 16X8 wheel, they say they are ET 13...what does that mean? I assume it's an offset measurement?
If anyone knows anything about these wheels,I'd appreciate hearing about it....
Cheers
Mike

Somebody's been advertising a 7 & 8 replica set on ebay for around $700 for all four. I can't comment on the build quality though. I can say however that MidAmerica is usually pretty overpriced.

I just noticed those too recently. They make note that they are supposed to be of a higher quality than typical Fuch's knock-offs. What are they, $250 apiece or so? 7's & 8's as I recall...

Ed...yes,it's the "higher quality knock off" I'm interested in knowing about. The 8"s are 249 each. I'm wondering what kind of quality you get for your 250!!!

Mille Miglia is a popular Italian replica....they are HEAVY...."I" would consider what they weigh and how they are made before purchase.

Those only bear a passing resemblence to a real Fuchs! The shape of the petals are all wrong. You could not use those fake 8s in the back and real Fuchs up front - that would look awful. So you are stuck with buying a complete set of those fakes for $1000 plus shipping.

You can buy a set of real 7's and 8's for that price, or a bit more.

The real set will always retain their value - if anything they will increase in value. Those fakes would depreciate from $1000 to $300 in the blink of an eye.

And if you spring for the little extra for a set of genuine 7s and 8s, your car won't have to suffer the indignity of those horrible looking fakes.
