This is the cheapest source I found for the GT series garrett I am getting, but I am not sure how competitive they are when it comes to T4/T3s.

Dumb question of the day:

Can someone tell me the sizes (inducer size, flow, thrust bearing, etc) for a 'standard' '84 930 turbo (no, I do not have an standard turbo)

Thanks

A K27, a popular 930 upgrade turbo has the following approximate dimensions.

Compressor - 3" wheel, 2.1" inlet, 50 trim, ~0.9 A/R
Turbine - 3" wheel, 2.55" outlet, 70 trim 0.8 A/R

These numbers are from measurements I made of my turbo so they could be a little off.

Interesting. hmmmm. ...
I happen to have a T04, that I bought waaay-back, around 1981. (sitting in a box since then) T0457 is the complete model number. I have both the .58 & .40 trim.

A few years ago I saw this exact turbo in some 1975-vintage porsche literature on turbo'ing the carrera . .. before the production turbo hit the market. So, I know it must work . ... but very old-school.

So, what's it worth?

the sc series pte turbos are great and i use them all the time but they are not a gt based turbo the still use the t31 turbine wheel they do make a gt based turbo like a gt35e which is a sc61 on the cold side and a gt based on the turbine side.

What turbo would you recommend for this setup? Looking forward to getting the chip from you.

that link has garret gt turbos not pte turbos but the gt series is a big improvement over the t series turbine wheels
