66 911 questions on gaining more power
So I'm looking into getting more out of the little 2.0L in my 911. What would you guys recommend to up the horsepower. I really don't want to do an engine swap so I'm thinking of parts to make this 2.0l rock even more. I saw a kit to increase from 2.0l to 2.3l from Motormeister.
Also thinking about headers and Bursch exhaust, a new cam maybe. I want your feedback. Thank you

Please do a search on Motormeister before giving them one cent.
Not to many mods for a 2.0 are you running carbs or MFI? Headers won't do anything except delete your heat. Mufflers do little except change the niose level. Popular upgrades for a carbed car would be ditching points for an electronic ignition and installing and MSD ignition this will smooth things out and help you tune it easily. I believe the car is new to you so I would hold off and wait to see how it runs for a at least a month. Just rebuilding the carbs if needed would be a good start you may gain some power just with a good cleaning. Also some seat time and drivers training has been the best performance gain for many. Learn to get the speed out of the car first.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but there is no cheap way to get what you want-- a significant gain in HP-- out of the 2-liter motor you have. Headers and a sport muffler might get you a few HP. but you should be happy with what you've got or be prepared to spend some cubic dollars. You will find that just rebuilding your engine to "S" specs, which might give you 30+ HP, would require new pistons, heads, cams, carbs, etc., and you would end up spending just as much as you would on a swap. It will cost you in the neighborhood of $200 per HP. I would look for a used 2.4 or 2.7 to swap in and/or look at lightening the car instead for a more cost-effective performance increase.
